While studying OT, Scarlett has worked as a support worker for almost 3 years, doing her student placements with children and those with mental health issues. As well as this, Scarlett volunteered in the Children’s Hospital kids zone for one year. She loves building relationships, understanding others and partnering with them for better health outcomes and well-being. She brings creativity and problem-solving skills to every interaction.

Scarlett has experience working with:

  • Autistic children
  • ADHDers
  • Infant development
  • Emotional regulation
  • Memory and attention
  • Prep readiness
  • Play skills
  • Sensory processing
  • Parent education
  • Sibling education
  • Supporting skills with daily activities

Scarlett is empathic and encouraging in all her interactions, while being fun and motivating with the children and incorporating their interests into the therapy process. She is family centred so families can be met where they are at, and their needs are kept central to all OT sessions. Being strengths based, she celebrates what kids can do and supports them to discover how they can meet their goals.

Scarlett grew up on the Sunshine Coast and loves to swim at the beach. She is the eldest of 2 sisters and is passionate about paediatric practice and seeing every kid shine. She is still a kid at heart with a great imagination and curiosity for the world around her. She has a lot of fun playing games with kids including hide and seek and the floor is lava.

Outside of work, Scarlett is a nature lover. She loves gardening including making sure that her garden fairies have beautiful flowers to rest under, walking in nature, visiting the beach and playing and cuddling with her grey 3-legged cat SkittlesShe also loves hanging out with her little sister or friends, playing board or card games and taking film photos. Scarlett also loves playing classical piano, listening to music, or playing Minecraft.

Sometimes, despite our best efforts, you or the therapist may find that you are not a good fit. If your therapist feels that he or she is not best suited to you, he/she will discuss this with you and recommend a more appropriate therapist.

If you feel that your therapist is not a good fit within the first three sessions, simply discuss this with our admin team who will find a more suitable therapist.
