Marketing Officer – Position Filled

Seeking experienced marketing person and social media whiz.

Are you looking for a new challenge and do you love helping people through inspirational stories and visuals?

Kids Matters OT, is seeking a part-time (8 days/ fortnight) marketing and social media person to help us get our message of hope out to the community.

This position is temporary until September 2024 to cover a maternity contract.

This position is about making sure that our presentation of Kids Matters OT to the community is accurate, appealing and authentic to build our clinical, community and rural telehealth services as well as promote our seminars and parent/ educator training packages, and our equipment shop.

You will be working across our website, brochures, direct email marketing, recruitment messaging, therapist presentations (PowerPoint) and social media as well as building relationships with community and educational partners through phone/ Teams and connecting them with the right educational supports for them.

This position is also about communicating and presenting to our internal team about where the business is at and coordinating whole team events such as team planning day.

We need you to:

  • Love social media and be competent in creating posts, ads, reels, stories and analysing results.
  • Have basic video editing skills including, recording, uploading, trimming clips and adding effects such as music or text.
  • Be technically savvy.
  • Be familiar with Canva (or equivalent), Mailchimp (or equivalent), and Social media platforms.
  • Be great at visual design and word-smithing within our branding frameworks.
  • Be a team player.
  • Have initiative, but be creative while able to accept direction and suggestions to work out the best way to set things up.
  • Be flexible.
  • Be willing to work in with existing branding and standards.
  • Go the extra-mile in all that you do.
  • Be a great listener and communicator.
  • Have great attention to detail.
  • Have a passion for helping people.
  • Learn quickly and have initiative.
  • Be organised, efficient and great at following through on tasks.

This is a maternity leave contract starts 24th July, 2023 until 6th September 2024. Days are flexible with some working from home possible. We prefer based at Aspley but could also make Yeerongpilly work for the right person.
