Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Supporting you to Make a Difference in Kids’ Lives!

We’re looking for curious, growth-minded and collaborative OTs to join our team. Whether you’re just starting out, building your skills, or bringing years of paediatric experience, we’d love to hear from you. We have a more immediate position available at our Aspley clinic and welcome expressions of interest across all three locations: Aspley, Highgate Hill, and Yeerongpilly.

As part of our team, you’ll benefit from inspiring clinical conversations, supervision, support with all types of presentations, and opportunities to work across clinic, community, school, kindy, home and telehealth settings.

Our culture is well established, promoted and lived. We focus on Connection, Collaboration, Excellence, Humble Mastery and Playfulness – and this forms the basis of our decisions and interactions.

Our therapy spaces support you to meet children’s needs, including sensory gyms, small rooms to minimise distraction, and mobile work. Benefit from the experience of a wide range of therapists including 10 seniors, many intermediate and early-career clinicians.

Some more of our benefits include:

  • You get to work beyond just your clinical skills. Once you are settled in, you get to contribute to projects of interest as well as the culture of the clinic according to your skills and gifts.
  • You are encouraged to use your unique gifts, skills and experience to build a better organisation that helps kids, families and the Kids Matters team to grow and become even more amazing.
  • Develop, grow and use your own style of therapy.
  • Have a sustainable caseload with achievable KPIs so you don’t need to do work outside of paid hours.
  • Full administration support means that all bookings, billing and customer service are handled so you can focus on your clients.
  • Paid non-contact time so you can keep up to date with your clinical administration and client preparation/ follow-up.
  • Well established policies and procedures so the clinic operates smoothly.
  • All resources are provided including technology, stationary, and games.
  • Laptop is provided for your sole use, with some clinics using shared iPads for mobile visiting.
  • A generous professional development budget allows you to learn and grow according to your interests.

About the position:

  • You will have your own desk and place to nest with plenty of opportunities to connect with your colleagues on a regular basis.
  • You are seated close to your colleagues to encourage support and collaboration.
  • You will provide OT to children in a hybrid position that services both the clinic and the community. Here we offer some flexibility for you setting up a schedule and keep community visits within a tight geographical radius. You will need your own car and all travel costs will be reimbursed as per government guidelines.
  • You have some autonomy in your caseload and in deciding if clients are appropriate to your skillset.
  • Position can be part-time (at least 24 hours) up to full-time.
  • Be employed by a not-for-profit company that is seeking to have a wider impact for those in need.
  • Salary sacrificing available.
