Lucy is empathic, fun and engaging with kids and families. She prioritises relationships and connection to build trust so kids and families can feel safe and do their best. Being child-led and play-based, she incorporates children’s interests in everything she does and they learn and develop through the fun of play. Person and family-centredness is central to Lucy’s approach so families can be met where they are at and can partner with Lucy for outcomes that are meaningful to them. Being strengths-based, she builds on kid’s strengths while they overcome challenges.
Lucy is the middle child, with an older and younger brother, and was born and raised in Brisbane. She has always wanted to work with kids and as a child did horse riding, dancing, cheerleading and gymnastics. She has travelled a bit including visiting family every 2 years in Mackay for Christmas and to Germany on a student exchange, using the German language she so diligently learnt at school. Aside from all the excitement, she loves spending time with her family.
Outside of work, Lucy likes so many things. She loves animals especially her horse Cherokee and her chocolate brown labradoodle Molly. She is a fan of listening to pop and country music and going to concerts. Lucy can often be found playing all sorts of board games with her cousins/ family and friends. As a creative, Lucy loves watching sunsets, taking film photos, baking cookies and going on picnics. Pilates keeps her strong.
