The Kids Matters Community Foundation

Ever since we started our private practice in 2003, we have encountered people seeking our services who cannot afford the therapy fees. It’s heartbreaking to turn away children and families who are in need of help. So when we had the opportunity to set up a Not-for-Profit company in late 2022, we jumped at the chance and The Kids Matters Community Foundation was established on the 27th January 2023.

Our goal is to bridge the gap for families who are unable to access important allied health therapies and activities for financial reasons.  These children and their families need specialist services to be able participate in society, maintain healthy development and to enjoy everyday life.

So far the Foundation has been able to provide assessment and strategies to a family who needed support to help their child at home, and to access funding from the NDIS. We are passionate in our mission to help many more kids and their families to reach their potential. We aim to connect local families and communities whilst forming partnerships with the best intervention specialists globally.

The Foundation is funded by donations from businesses (including Kids Matters OT), community grants, government grants, and generous donations from families seeking to lend a hand. We bring together the generosity of funders, the passion and expertise of service providers, and children in need to start their journey to achieving their full potential.
