Tammy is a passionate and highly skilled Paediatric Occupational Therapist who brings warmth, creativity, and strong clinical expertise to her work at Kids Matters. She has been practising as an Occupational Therapist since 2019 and has gained extensive experience across paediatrics, physical rehabilitation, and adult mental health the UK
Since 2022, Tammy has worked intensively with children presenting with a wide range of physical, emotional, behavioural, cognitive, and sensory integration challenges. She has a particular strength in supporting children who experience high levels of dysregulation, anxiety, avoidance, and executive functioning difficulties.
Tammy works with children who have:
- Autism 2 & 3 (including PDA profiles)
- ADHD
- Sensory Processing Differences
- Emotional and behavioural regulation challenges
- Executive functioning difficulties
- Handwriting and fine motor delays
- Developmental and coordination difficulties
She tailors every program to the child’s individual needs, strengths, and interests, while working closely with families, schools, and support teams to ensure meaningful progress across home, school, and community environments.
Alongside her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy, Tammy is an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Sensory Integration Therapy and is currently completing a master’s degree in Sensory Integration. This advanced level of training enables Tammy to deliver highly specialised, evidence-based sensory integration intervention for children with complex sensory and developmental needs.

Tammy is British with Jamaican heritage and brings a culturally responsive, inclusive, and family-centred approach to her work. She values strong partnerships with parents and caregivers and believes therapy works best when families feel supported, informed, and confident.
Outside of work, Tammy enjoys running, painting abstract art, writing music and poetry, and learning to play the guitar. Her creativity often shines through in her therapy sessions, making them energetic, imaginative, and fun.
Sometimes, despite our best efforts, you or the therapist may find that you are not a good fit. If your therapist feels that he or she is not best suited to you, he/she will discuss this with you and recommend a more appropriate therapist.
If you feel that your therapist is not a good fit, simply discuss this with our admin team who will find a more suitable therapist.
